It's wonderful celebrating the start of the Year of Dragon with the vibrant Chinese community who contribute so much to New Zealand.

The celebration of the new year is a colourful reminder of the many cultures that make up our great country, and the many peoples who call New Zealand home. 

春节庆祝活动丰富多彩！新西兰的多元文化共同构成我们的美好家园。

Celebrating the Year of Dragon is a time of hope and promise, and a time for family and friends tocome together. 

庆祝龙年新年是充满希望的时刻，也是家人和朋友聚在一起的时刻。 

The New Year is even more exciting when it passes from the Year of the Rabbit tothe Year of the Dragon.

当从兔年跨越到龙年时，想必大家都更加兴奋。

The Year of the Dragon is associated with positive energy, leadership, honour, luck and success. 

龙代表着正能量、领导力、荣誉、运气和成功！ 

As Prime Minister, the prospect of a year of positive energy, leadership, honour, luck and success iscertainly something to look forward to. 

作为总理，在新的一年体现正能量、领导力、荣誉、运气和成功的前景，是我非常期待的。 

I say, “bring it on”. I hope we have three years of it!

Let me personally say thank you to the Chinese community for your support of our Government in focussing on the things that matter to you, and to all of us.

The Chinese community makes a great contribution in New Zealand and is one of New Zealand'slargest ethnic groups.

Whether you're a brand-new New Zealander, or can trace your family hereback for generations, I am pleased you are able to celebrate your Chinese culture here, whilemaking this your home.

There's lots to be positive about and a lot to look forward to.

Happy Chinese New Year! l would like to wish you all the very best for the year ahead. 

新年快乐！我在这里向大家表示衷心的节日祝福。 

Chinese New Year is a time to give thanks and celebrate with family and friends. lt's also a time torecognise the significant contributions Chinese New Zealanders make to our country. 

春节是一个送出美好祝愿的时节，是我们与家人团圆，和朋友团聚的时节，这同时也是我们认可新西兰华人为国家做出的重要贡献的时刻。 

For more than 150 years, Chinese communities have been part of New Zealand's cultural fabric. 

在过去的150多年里，华人社区一直是新西兰文化的一部分。 

More than 200,000 Chinese New Zealanders now call Aotearoa home, and people from a wide range of backgrounds now come together to celebrate the Lunar New Year. 

现在有超过20万新西兰华人把这里当做家，而来自各种文化背景的人们更是齐聚一堂，共同庆祝农历新年。

Looking back on my trip to China last year as Prime Minister, l reflect on the significant relationship we share with China. 

回顾我作为总理去年访问中国的经历，我深感新西兰与中国之间关系的重要性。

lt's a relationship that the Chinese community in New Zealandhave contributed greatly to - through trade, people to people ties and cultural exchanges. 

而华人社区通过贸易、人际联系和文化交流为此做出了巨大的贡献。 

On behalf of the Labour Party, l would like to wish everyone a prosperous year of the Dragon.

The dragon symbolises strength, courage and independence, all qualities we want to uphold as we navigate the year ahead.
